Richard不仅是一名律师, 也是一名商船船长。在处理各类海事纠纷方面, 他有着非常丰富的经验, 例如进行各种海事事故调查, 处理船舶的碰撞、油污、搁浅、以及全损等案件。
Richard于2008年加入英士,期后调派到上海办事处工作及在中国和东亚地区处理过许多最尖锐,最复杂的海事事故调查,随后于2012年他返回伦敦办事处,处理各类海事事故所引起的纠纷,并积累了大量的争议解决经验。 2015年,Richard回到亚太区,加入本所的香港办事处,Richard在海事事故争议解决业务上的成功,是亚太区海事事故领域的领军人物。
在Richard开始他的律师生涯前, 他曾在一家知名的国际保赔协会中工作了五年,处理船东互保和抗辩保险的各类事务。在此之前,他在Merchant Navy担任了九年甲板高级船员,在各种类型的船舶上工作,包括集装箱船、散货船、滚装船、渡船、客船和高速双体船,并取得了他的商船船长资格。
Richard 的专业领域涉及"湿 "和 "干 "的航运争议解决业务。他拥有对船舶运营的第一手知识,包括航行和货物,以及船舶运营方面的经验,使他能够在最复杂的航运案件中提供最佳的法律意见。 Richard在通过分析航行数据记录器的电子数据、第三方AIS数据和远程访谈程序进行远程伤亡调查方面也有深入的知识和经验。他的法律意见总是实用而简明的,使他的客户能够获得经济,有效和及时的法律服务。
Richard拥有英格兰及威尔士和香港的律师资质,并经常代表航运客户。

The mock arbitration simulated an actual hearing of a Hong Kong international arbitration involving an international trade dispute that has shipping, trade, insurance and contract aspects, in line with one of the important roles that Hong Kong is playing under China’s Greater Bay Area initiative, that is, the role of being the legal services centre and dispute resolution centre of the world.
