On Thursday 26 March, the Regulatory Solutions team at Ince delivered a talk on financial crime virtually to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors at the RICS conference.

Remarks covered anti-money laundering and bribery, the effects of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on the approach of regulators, the policy priority of maintaining crime and justice measures at this time, the UK’s policy towards financial crime and protecting the economy and the effect of social distancing on traditional face-to-face customer due-diligence. We shared our opinion on Brexit and methods by which the UK may enact future changes of international law, financial crime and trade deals. We also shared remarks on bribery offences and defences and the new law relating to anti-money laundering which came into force recently.
